Students in Grade 4/5 and 5/6 have spent much of Term 3 writing "jikoshoukau" (self-introduction) speeches. The speeches cover topics like name, age, birthday, likes and dislikes, hobbies and school life. Students have been practicing their speeches and performing them in class. Ruby C from 5/6, Lilah C from 4/5 chose to enter the statewide Japanese Speech contest. In order to be entered they had to memorise their speeches and perform them in one take. They both did an outstanding job. We wish them both the best of luck. We should know the results by early in Term 4.
