Explore Sea Country - Bellerive Beach Excursion

Last Friday our class travelled by bus to Bellerive Beach to Explore Sea Country. We began the day with the beautiful story Here on Sea Country - written by four Palawa women and illustrated by Aunty Verna Nichols with the Palawa students and Flinders Island and Cape Barren Island schools 

Students then completed a range of activities, including:

• Drawing something special to them at the beach
• A scavenger hunt
• Creating a 5 senses wheel

In between learning tasks, students enjoyed exploring the beach, making sandcastles, and playing at the park during recess and lunch. 

It was a wonderful day of learning, connecting, and appreciating the special place that is Sea Country.
